Inspect the package
Check that the product packaging and device appear intact before initialization. Contact support if anything looks damaged or unusual.
Initialize on the device
Start the wallet from the physical device. Create a PIN and write down the recovery phrase offline.
Store recovery material safely
Keep the recovery phrase away from computers, phones, printers, cameras, cloud storage, and messaging apps.
Practice address verification
Review receiving addresses and signing requests on the device screen. Treat the device display as the confirmation source.
Keep support boundaries clear
Support can answer device questions, but it cannot recover funds, hold backups, or validate a recovery phrase for you.
Important: No legitimate hardware wallet support process requires you to type a recovery phrase into a website or send it by email.
